Tablet Use FAQ

I am often asked how to best use hydrogen tablets and how often should they be used.

How is Healing H2 different from other magnesium supplements?

Healing H2 is a tablet of magnesium matrix. It is not like the magnesium salts you will currently find in supplement stores (eg. magnesium glycinate, citrate or maleate), Instead Healing H2 is elemental magnesium and reacts with water to produce hydrogen gas. If formulated ideally, a supersaturated solution of gas is produced.

How often should Healing H2 be taken?

The recommended dose for wellness is one tablet twice daily. If you have medical problems you are likely to have elevated oxidative stress and more frequent use would be helpful. Once you consume the hydrogen water solution, the gas diffuses through your body and and neutralizes damaging free radicles. Any un excess hydrogen diffuses out of your lungs and skin over the next 2-3 hours. So if you have extremely high oxidative stress taking it 6 times daily will produce more noticeable results. Hydrogen is very safe and more frequent use would not be harmful, but magnesium can have a laxative effect.

How can I get the most benefit from the supplement?

There are instructions to put one tablet into approximately 12 ounces of water. If you plan to consume the solution immediately, put the tablet into a open top container of water that is around room temperature. The is because the reaction rate of hydrogen generation is controlled in large part by the temperature of the water in which the tablet is placed. While most any temperature allows the reaction, the highest concentration of hydrogen in solution is produced at room temperature. If the water is icy cold the reaction happens slowly and the gas bubbles are not trapped in the water as efficiently and supersaturation does not occur. In hotter water, the reaction can go too fast and much of the gas produced escapes through the water's surface and into the atmosphere.

The reaction speed is also controlled by pressure. If placed in a closed container, pressure builds and the gas generation reaction is slowed. So only put the tablet into a closed container if you want to drink the hydrogen saturated water later. If you want to do this, it is suggested to not cap the container until the tablet is partially resolved. Make sure the container is sturdy and not likely to rupture. Also consider that hydrogen can penetrate most container types so the solution will slowly leak hydrogen gas into the atmosphere and become depleted.
